To pay homage to all the stamps that I have that will be retiring, I am going to make at least one new card with each of them and display them on my blog. 

Now, for today's card!!  For a little inspiration, I turned to two of my favorite blogs Freshly Made Sketches and Color Throw down.  I love these two blogs because I can be inspired with both color and a sketch.  The two retiring stamp sets I used were Vintage Vogue and Messages for Mom.  I really like both of these sets and have used them plenty.  The Messages for Mom has so many great sentiments, it will stay in my collection!

To get the shading effect on the flower, I used both Certainly Celery and Always Artichoke Stampin Write Markers to color the Stamp before I stamped.

NEED FOR SPEED BIRHTDAY PART 2

Today's card uses the same stamp set Need for Speed, that I used in the previous post.  This time I used the jet image.  I bought the Well Worn DSP, because I thought it would make great masculine cards.  I just haven't had the inspiration to pull it out until now.  Thanks to Angela McKay and her awesome card on her blog www.northshorestamper.com, I pulled it out and got to work.  I used the same sketch she used, but changed the stamp image.  What do you think?  Enjoy!

NEED FOR SPEED BIRTHDAY CARD

I spent a little time in my stamp room this afternoon and designed this birthday card.  I have been looking for a stamp set that I could use to make some boyish cards and this one is perfect!  Not too babyish and not too grown up...although I know some "grown up" men this stamp set would work equally well for. As always with my masculine cards, I like to keep the design simple.

SIMPLY SENT GREAT DAY CARD

I don't know why I waited so long to buy one of these kits, but I am buying more!  They can be found on pg 192 of the IB&C.  $12.95 for 8 cards and envelopes.  You can also by the It's Your Day stamp set that coordinates with the cards or just you a sentiment stamp that you already have in your collection.  These cards can be assembled as they come or you can jazz them up a little, as I have done.  Think of all the possibilities to replace my number 11.  A friend of mine put a die cut butterfly in this space, so cute!  The perfect solution when you need a cute, quick card!!

DAISY THANK YOU CARD

Well obviously I stay busy and this last month has been filled with an exciting Spring Break and Girl Scout Cookie Sales, but not a lot of stamping!  I was, however, able to sneak into my stamp room and create a little this afternoon.

The card I have to show you today is a thank you card, I actaully made two of these, that will be presented to a couple of police officers who are coming to speak to our Daisy troop tonight.  So absolutely, I had to include daisies on this card.  The girls signed the inside and I used the Big Shot with the Flower Daisy #2 die and the Sizzlits Many Thanks die.  I punched out the flower centers with the 1 1/4", 1" and 1/2" punches.  To finish it off, I added a little bling with Rhinestones. These cards are on the large size, simply a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of Bashful Blue card stock scored down the center with the Simply Scored Tool.

This card was super easy.  I love that by having all my Stampin Up supplies on hand, I can make a one of a kind (or in this case, two of a kind) card that is perfect for any occasion.

VALENTINE CUPCAKES

These taste as good as they look.  I found these cute cupcakes and recipe here and the idea for how to package them here.  I love how they turned out.  My daughters will be delivering these to a few special staff members at their school today!

You will see in this picture, the cupcake has powdered sugar sprinkled on it, but the sugar soaked into the cupcake???  So Plan B...I added sprinkles, white, red and pink.  I liked the look of the powdered sugar, but I need to investigate what needs to be done to keep it from disappearing into the cupcake.

Do you see the spoon?  This way they can just eat the cupcake without a mess!  Love this idea!  The tag came together with just a couple of stamps and punches.  Happy Valentine's Day!!!

DESIGNER CUTS VALENTINE CARDS

When I saw this card set in the Occasions Mini, I instantly thought quick, easy card.  I made a card very similar to the example in the catalog, but changed the colors and added some ribbon.  I just love the details on this cut image...a classy elegance.  This card and envelope set includes two card designs, 8 total and envelopes for $9.95.  What a great deal!  ENJOY!
